Nursery Design Made Easy
Step 1: Choose the Space for your Nursery:
Will you have a room dedicated to the nursery, a shared space with you or a little sibling, a small closet, or some other place?  There are many beautiful ways to design your space no matter how large or small the space is.
Step 2: Choose your theme for your nursery:
Are you having a girly girl, a little man, or do you lean towards gender neutral no matter the gender? Depending on the space you have chosen for your nursery you may be needing to design your nursery space around an existing theme or you may be starting from scratch.
There are so many timeless themes like Princess, Dinosaur, Shabby, Jungle, and many more.  There are also trendy themes like mountains, woodland, black and white, and many more!  So what nursery theme has your wheels spinning?
Finding that one center focal point for your nursery will help once you've picked your theme.  It may be a quilt you want to design the room around, or a piece of artwork, or even a canopy for the crib.  Whatever it is this will be the focal point for your designing your nursery
Step 3:  Choose your Nursery Colors:
Choosing your colors once you have chosen your theme can be very helpful.  We have written a really helpful article on how to pick out your nursery colors.
Needless to say, picking your colors after you've picked your theme and focal piece, will save a lot of headache later on with finding the perfect paint color for your nursery
Step 4: Choosing the Perfect Furniture for your Nursery
Depending on the space you have available for your nursery will determine what furniture you will be getting for your beautiful nursery.  Some pieces of furniture to consider are rocking chairs, changing table, cribs, rug, dresser, and storage
Step 5: Choosing the Accessories to Pull the Nursery together
There are so many accessories that are helpful in taking care of a baby or also add beauty to your nursery.  Some items to consider are changing pads, diaper stackers, additional crib bedding, rugs, curtains and valances, art, pictures, and so much more. The possibilities are endless.
Now that you've got an idea on how to design your nursery, you have the funnest part ahead of you, bringing the precious baby home and enjoying the nursery with them.
